To the family of Ruby Johnson
My sincere sympathy for your loss of dear Ruby. She was truly one of the most amazing lady I ever knew. The first grade staff and children were so blessed by her volunteering with the children for many years in her retirement to help out with our reading programs. She was a one of a kind gem who will be missed by everyone whose life she touched. Rest In Peace dear friend.

Ruby, she will always be Mr Johnson to me, was my first teacher in my very short Kindergarten Career. I was an incorrigible 5 year old and my antics caused her to expel me after a few days! Remarkably something good did come out of this very short episode; l met her son Don, who became my life long best friend! Years later we used to all laugh about our first meeting in that little school house by the WTAG Towers!
When I visited their home, Mrs Johnson was always refined and well dressed, she reminded me of Mrs Cleaver, the Beavers Mother, because she was such a wise and perfect mother.
I'm quite sure all my public school teachers are dead now but it is worth noting that my first would be the last to die.
I wish to express Cheryl and my extreme condolences to Don, Jane and the rest of the family.

My condolences to the family of Ruby in your loss of this lovely lady. Ruby and I met at St. Vincent Hospital where we both worked. Ruby was always a delight to talk to, a very interesting, funny and kind lady. May she rest in peace. Sincerely, Brenda Bernard
