I worked for Scott 30 years ago in Chesapeake Virginia. He was born about a year before me. A long life has passed since.
Sometimes I think about all of the people I used to know. Just being able to remember their names is a sign they had some impact on your own life.
My own memories of Scott were the fondest. And we'd sometimes play games at the office on the weekend with other willing employees, so we really got to know each other, and Scott was great. He was a pretty bright shining happy person. I only remember smiles and certainty of purpose out of Scott. It really was a great time, and I consider time that a good part of my own life.
So I am pretty saddened to hear Scott has passed away at such a young age. We both traveled different ways since then, and a long time has passed. One thing I find great is that Scott accepted Jesus Christ as his lord and savior. I'm still alive, and he is not, and that is not what I wanted to hear googling for him online, but that he too has accepted Jesus as his savior pleases me to no end. That means someday I'll get a chance to go see him and thank him for being such a great guy. He really was a shining star of a human being!
All the best to the Long family.

Dearest Tanya and family ,
We were heartbroken to hear of your loss of Scott.
He will be remembered as the joyful , smiling and embracing disciple of Jesus
who touched all our lives so deeply .
He is not only remembered for all that he DID to advance the kingdom of God around the world ;
But also , for all that he WAS to every person he met . He was always becoming more like Christ and encouraging us to do the same .
We are grateful to have known him in this life and look forward to seeing him
again in the next .
May Jesus be your comfort at this time,

We are going to cherish our memories... both personal and professional that we have of our longtime friend Scott. Personal during our many visits to Hubbardston growing and nurturing our friendship with him and his family and Professionally, through his many forays to the Balkans where, often with his family, he supported the churches in Southern Albania and Kosovo and supported the business ventures in Tirana, Albania with his musical talents and love of people of all types. Scott...you will be dearly missed by both Laura and I. Yet, the knowledge of our eminent arrival in a better place will be met with your broad smile and warm "hug of welcome"once again.

Tanya, Taran, Morgan, Tia, and Ariana;
Although it's been over 15 years since our paths crossed at New Creating Family Church, your sentiments make it easy to "know" him and feel the deep love you all have for him. May the Lord heal your heartache as you march forward in his legacy.
