Sean LeBoeuf Obituary

Sean R. LeBoeuf, 70

WARREN - Sean R. LeBoeuf, 70, The world has lost a true patriot and warrior who died on January 5, 2021 in Bay State Hospital in Springfield after a short stay in the Intensive Care Unit. He was the son of the late Paul D. and Ghislaine (Spooner) LeBoeuf.Sean, a graduate of David Prouty High School and Quinsigamond Community College, continued courses at Worcester State College, pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice. He was a member of the Warren Veterans' Council and American Legion Post 244. Sean was in the US Marine Corp from 1969 to 1977, then an officer on the Warren Police Department from 1977-1986, retiring as the Chief of the force. During this time, Sean was in the National Guard, graduating from Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, Georgia in 1983. He was a second lieutenant with C Company, 181st Infantry in the Ware Guard, eventually attaining the rank of Captain. Following his work with the Warren Police, Aragorn Investigations was born and was a growing business when it was incorporated in 1994. He remained actively involved in investigative work until he was hospitalized, three days before his death. In 2006, Sean joined the US Army and became a Special Agent with CID (Criminal Investigation Command.) He worked with the Boston Fraud Agency from 2007-2008. As an agent, he also did Protective Service assignments and was deployed to Iraq from 2008-2009. He turned 59 during his deployment. He retired from CID in 2010 after "aging out." Otherwise, he would have remained with that elite group. Sean loved this country. Sean was a devoted and loving husband, a fun father to his four-legged family members, a good brother, mentor and neighbor, and true friend to anyone he let into his heart. His smile and laugh would fill up a room. He had a brilliant mind and quick wit. Few were a match for him verbally. Sean loved working on the land. He created a paradise, clearing overgrown thickets and pastures, carving beautiful paths throughout the acreage, cutting, splitting, and stacking wood, and rebuilding stone walls. He worked tirelessly to maintain and upgrade his efforts. This was a great source of joy for him. Sean leaves the love of his life, his wife of 37 years - Lynnda (Stagg) LeBoeuf, along with the rest of his immediate family – two horses, Noah and Gunner, and his joyful Doberman pup, Cidney. He also leaves his siblings - Paul LeBoeuf of Greenfield, Patti LeBoeuf of Townville, SC, Kathy McMullen and husband, Thomas, of West Brookfield, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Charles LeBoeuf, of Rapid City, SD. Sean has left big boots to fill. He was hardworking, honest, and loyal. He was a man with integrity and heart. And he was brave, so very brave. Sean truly made this world a better, safer place. He will be forever missed and loved. There will be no funeral service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ALS Association Donation Processing Center, P.O Box 37022 Boone, IA 50037. Arrangements are under the care of PILLSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 3 West Brookfield Rd., Brookfield.

Sean was one of a kind! An absolute professional, intellect and kind person. In the 20 years in this job, I have never met anyone like him, and I don't think I will again. He was a good man. He will be missed.

Sean and I served in the Marine Corps and were commissioned in the Guard . We went to Germany as part of a division level exercise and became friends. He was a solid soldier who was respected by both his subordinates and supervisors. He was a good man and will be missed. Semper Fidelis.
