Stanley's family would like to thank Dr. Thomas Lyons and his wife Peggy for their friendship and support. He was born in Worcester, the son of Peter and Amelia (Nalawajko) Rutkiewicz and lived in Auburn most of his life, graduating from Auburn High School in 1941. He was a World War II U.S. Army Air Corp Veteran, serving as a Sergeant, participating in several missions over England and Germany. Mr. Rutkiewicz had coached the Henry Camosse and Sons Little League team for more than 37 years. His teams had won many league championships, including the District V Division titles and reached the State Finals. His love of baseball never disappeared, and could be found at the field whenever games were played. This past season, he enjoyed coaching his grandson.

He received many awards and honors for his service to the Little League, including Coach of the Year for Massachusetts Baseball in 1999, induction into the Auburn High School Hall of Fame; on October 28th the Town of Auburn will dedicate the day as Stanley Rutkiewicz Day. He also coached the Auburn Hockey Association and the Auburn Pop Warner. He often reminisced about the many children that he coached. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Ron,
My deepest sympathies in the lost of your Dad. I am one of the many, many hockey players your Dad coached over the years. I will always remember that as a coach he was firm and demanding but (most importantly) very warm and friendly to us all. Mooch

Dear Rutkiewicz Family,
I wish to send my sympathies to all of you with your tremendous loss.
I did not know Stanley, but after reading all the marvelous things he accomplished, what a wonderful man. Serving his country, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, community service, and coaching all those children!
It takes a special kind of man to give of himself as he has.
How nice to know that he will always be remembered by so many, and to have a special day,
October 28 named for him!!
Sincerely,
Sheila Conroy

Donna - and Family.
I am so sorry for your loss. I will always remember our younger years when your dad used to call me "stretch". Even after many years had passed and I hadn't seen him in a while he would still call me that childhood name. He was an awesome person within the community of Auburn for as long as I can remember. He will be missed by many people. Donna- I am sorry for your loss- and though our busy lives have drifted us apart some, you will always be my best friend. If you need anything- feel free to call me. My prayers go out to you and your family. Love always- Chris Corey (and family)

Grampy Stan,
We will miss you more than you know. Although we were far away in miles, you were always close in our hearts. Each time I think of you I smile because of all of the happy memories we have shared. You were always one of my biggest fans and I can remember seeing you cry after one of my dance performances saying "I have feelings too." You will forever be remembered in our hearts as a kind and loving Grampy who touched so many lives. We love you and will miss you.

Love, Missy, Steve, Kendal and Madi
