Stanley A. Wondolwoski, 95

Shrewsbury - Stanley A. Wondolowski, 95, of Shrewsbury, died Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center, Westborough. He leaves the love of his life and wife of seventy- three years, Jane S. (Pieniazek) Wondolowski; two sons, Stanley R. Wondolowski and his wife Dorothy of Madison, NH and Thomas J. Wondolowski and his wife Laureen of Dudley; two daughters, Janice M., wife of Daniel C. Kaminski of Melbourne, FL and Diane M. wife of Richard F. Linkevich of Palm Harbor, FL; a brother, Edward M. Wondolowski of Haines Falls, NY; seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grand-daughter, Kristen Linkevich; brothers, Walter and Joseph Wondolowski; and sisters, Natalie Krzinowek, Wanda Domian and Wanda Wondolowski. He was born in Worcester, son of Teofil and Maryanna (Wondolowski) Wondolowski and lived there until 1956 when he moved to Shrewsbury.

Stanley was a self-employed accountant and financial advisor at Bob & Lee Mathieu Realtors for many years before retiring in 1989. Previously, he was Controller for New England Grocer Supply Co., in Worcester and Northborough, (Sweet Life Foods) for thirty-two years. He also worked at Reed-Prentice Corp. and Joseph B. Cohan & Associates, CPA firm both in Worcester and E.G. Bunker Builder of Shrewsbury. He had served as President of the National Office Managers Association and also was a Notary Public.

Stanley graduated from St. Mary's Elementary School, Providence Street Junior High School and Classical High School, all in Worcester. He received an associate Degree from Becker Junior College and New England School of Accounting. He also attended Northeastern University in Boston.

During World War II, he served as a 1 st Lieutenant in the Quartermaster Corp attached to the 1386th Army Air Force, Atlantic Division in Iceland.

Stanley was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish of Worcester and served on its Finance Committee, St. Mary's Booster Club, the 240 Club, Quo Vadis Club and a lifetime member of the Polish American Veterans of World War II, the Polish National Alliance Lodge 758 of Worcester and Past President of the Queen Hedwig Society.

Above all, Stanley focused his life on family, as a loving and totally devoted husband and father. A unique, outgoing and gentle man, he is remembered warmly by all who knew him. Stanley was an avid tennis player and downhill skier throughout his life, participating in both sports well into his 80's.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 from Henry-Dirsa Funeral Home, 33 Ward St, Worcester with a Mass at 11:30 AM in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St, Worcester. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home will be on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 form 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Our condolences to the Wondolowski family. Stanley was always such a gentleman and kind person. Our family has admired him for years, and he was a blessing to anyone who was privileged to know him. He was a dedicated husband, father and friend. He gave to his country, his community and he always left you smiling. He will be among many friends in heaven.
