To my dear uncle and Godfather, words cannot express how sad I am to have lost you forever...time has passed so quickly since we last spoke or saw each other, it seems like yesterday that I was looking at your wedding pictures with Rene and getting congratulations from you on my own engagement and wedding. It seems like yesterday you and Uncle Mike took Matty and me to play hockey for hours after shoveling snow off of ponds...I'm still unsure as to exactly what happened, but I know you were taken from your family much sooner than you should have been...maybe God has bigger and better plans for you, maybe he just needed someone to make him laugh in these difficult times. If there is one thing you taught me, it was that laughter is the best medicine. All of my memories of you are surrounded by smiles and giggles, and I know that many people have the same type of recollections. I am sad that I could not make it home to honor your passing, and that you will never get to meet my bride. I am grateful to have known your love and that you were so proud of me. I am grateful for Rene, who loves you so much and who was always there unconditionally for you. Though distance kept us apart, you've always been right here in my heart. May your soul rest in peace for eternity. I love you.

To Rene and our family, Charlene and I wish we could be with you this evening during this difficult time. All of you are in our thoughts and prayers. Love forever and a day,
Josh & Charlene

To Steve's Family,
What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.

We used to work with Steve at the Home Depot and will always remember how kind and respectful he was and always took the time to ask how we are doing.
We send our Love and prayers to Steve's Family

Steve and I became very good friends in the year I knew him. He was a voice of reason, an ear for listening, and a shoulder I cried on more than once. He touched my heart and will always and forever hold a piece of it. I am so grateful for the opportunity to have met such a kind man. I feel blessed to have laughed with him so many times at work and I will truly miss escorting him to his locker when he needed a little company. Love You always!

Anne Quill Boucher

December 5, 2011

Dear Lorene, I worked with Steve in Auburn. He was such a good man. I recently married and now my last name is Boucher. We used to laugh about that because when Steve stared working in Auburn he used to call me Anne B. even though my name was Quill at the time and I hadn't even met my husband yet. Seems he knew that my name would eventually start with a B and ironically it became Boucher. I'm so sorry for your loss. Anne Quill Boucher
