Steven Maney Obituary

Steven R. Maney, 56, of Northborough and Ft. Myers, FL, died May 7, 2010 at his home in Fort Myers, Fl. following a short illness.

Steven is survived by his mother, Jane E. (Stark) Maney of Northborough; two brothers, W. John Maney of Holden and Paul S. Maney of Northborough; his sister, Sandra M. Farrell and her husband, David of Northborough; his nieces and nephews, Andrew, Alison and Gregory Farrell, Brian, Sarah and Jenna Maney, and Caleb Maney; many aunts, uncles and cousins; as well as many, many friends. Born in Worcester and raised in Northborough, he was the son of the late William D. Maney, who died in 2008.

Steven graduated from Worcester Academy in 1972. He then went onto Johnson & Wales and graduated in 1979. Steven earned his degree in Culinary Arts in order to give a great dinner party and he hopes all were happy. He worked as an Office Manager for his father's company, Northboro Oil Co., Inc. in Northborough for 20 years before retiring in 1999. For the past eight years, Steven worked as a Real Estate Agent for the Sun Belt Realty, Co. in Fort Myers, FL. Steven was a 32nd Degree Mason, member of the Siloam Lodge of Masons, A.F. & A.M. of Westborough and the Worcester County Shrine Club, Aleppo Temple.

All services will be private. Funeral services are under the direction of Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St., Northborough. Memorial donations may be made to: N. Dearest Jane, John, Sandra and Paul and families. My heart goes out to you all over the loss of Steven. I shall always remember my good times with him at family gatherings. He was a great cousin and I shall miss him. With deepest sympathy, cousin D-J.
