Theresa V. LaFleche, 93
SOUTHBRIDGE - Theresa V. (Lamothe) LaFleche, 93, formerly of Therese Ave., died Thursday, Aug. 1st, in the Southbridge Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, after an illness.
Her husband, Roch E. LaFleche, died in 1984. She leaves two daughters, Pauline J. Girard and her husband Joseph of Sturbridge and Jeanne C. Shoemaker of Atlanta, GA; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Her son, Raymond R. LaFleche, died in 2010. She was also predeceased by a sister, Cecile Jacques. She was born in Southbridge the daughter of Louis and Laura (Parent) Lamothe.
Theresa worked at the American Optical Co. in Southbridge for 11 years, retiring many years ago. She previously worked at the Press Wheel Co. in Southbridge. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Southbridge, the Ladies of St. Anne Society of the Blessed John Paul II Parish and the Royal Travelers. She enjoyed doing needle work of all kinds. She had a great love for all children, but especially her grandchildren and frequently attended their various activities.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 7th, from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a Mass at 10:00am in St. Hedwig's Church, Everett St., Southbridge. Burial will follow in New Notre Dame Cemetery, Southbridge. Calling hours in the funeral home will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 6th, from 5:00 to 7:00pm.
