Theresa Proulx Obituary

Theresa M. (Lacasse) Proulx, 88, a life-long Southbridge resident, died Friday, December 1, 2006, at the Radius Healthcare in Southbridge. She was the wife of the late George Proulx who died in 1994.

She is survived by five children, Joseph Julian and his wife Janet of Quinebaug, CT, Dennis Julian and his wife Betsy, James Julian and his wife Carol, Margaret Partlow and her husband Frank, all of Southbridge, and Linda Ravenelle and her husband Paul of Lee, NH; two step-children, David Proulx and his wife Nicki, and Debbie Rosario and her husband Jose, all of Southbridge; a sister Rita Lavalle of Southbridge; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Born in Southbridge, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Marion (Tetreault) Lacasse.

She worked as a lens inspector for the American Optical Company for many years, until her retirement in 1980. She was a member of the Quarter Century Club, the Council on Aging, and the Southbridge Senior Citizen Association, where she was very active in the exercise program.

Her funeral services and calling hours will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Diabetes Association, Massachusetts Office, 330 Congress Street, 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02110.
