Dixie Fritchman Obituary
Born: Sep 14, 1937 | Died: Mar 2, 2025
Dixie Ann Fritchman, of Loudon, TN (Tellico Village) passed through into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on March 2nd, 2025. Born on September 14, 1937, in Jackson MS, the daughter of Herbert and Hazel (Thrash) Hill, Dixie married Frank Fritchman on July 12, 1959, in Greenville, SC. Frank and Dixie celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in 2024. She was preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Kathryn Hill Mullins.
She is survived by her children, Beth (Arlon) McPherson of Maryville, TN, and her son, Mark (Amy) Fritchman of St. Simons Island, GA. Her grandchildren, Jake McPherson, Zack McPherson, Dean Mullins, Asa Fritchman, Elijah McPherson and Zoe Fritchman.
Dixie had a profound relationship with Jesus. From an early age, she knew and trusted him with her life. Her walk with the Lord was authentic, God-honoring, sincere, Spirit-filled, humble, and consistent. She was such a light to everyone she encountered both stranger and friend. Her goal in life was to love everyone who crossed her path and to ultimately point them to Jesus. She was a prayer warrior for her family, her church, and her friends. Daily she prayed for local and national missionaries and so many other people in need. Her personal library was filled with notebooks and journals with prayers, sermon notes, prayer requests, and miraculous stories of God's answers to her powerful life of prayer. Dixie was devoted to her family and they were devoted to her. She loved both the Georgia Bulldogs AND the Tennessee Volunteers. No one could understand how she could do that...but she could and she did. Her family misses her but we are all convinced we will see her again.

The family will have a memorial service at First Baptist Church of Tellico Village at a later date to be announced.
