Nancy Tretinik
Born: Jul 11, 1949 | Died: Nov 3, 2025
On November 3, 2025, Nancy Elizabeth Tretinik of Loudon, Tennessee, passed away at the age of 76 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease. Nancy was born in Allegany, New York to her parents Edward Lynch and Juanita Plaisted Lynch.
Nancy attended Central Connecticut State University where she received a Master's in Education that led to 25+ years of teaching predominately business and computer technology in high schools and colleges across Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Texas and Georgia.
Nancy is survived by her devoted husband, Dan, whom she met in Connecticut and to whom she was married for 53 years. In addition, she will be deeply remembered by her three sons, Brian (and wife Liz) of Milton, Massachusetts, Adam of Roswell, Georgia, and Dean (and wife Emily), also of Roswell, Georgia. She was blessed to have six beautiful grandchildren; Georgia and Harper, Miles and Greyson, and Micah and Zoey. She is also survived by three sisters, Bonnie Porcello and husband Bob of Tellico Village, Carol Richters and partner Gary of Seminole, FL, Sue Musiol and husband Ed of Kernersville, NC and brother Ed Lynch and wife Kathy of Raleigh, NC.
Nancy will be remembered by her love for life, generous heart, and dedication to family. She valued traditions that will continue to live on in future generations of the Tretinik family. She enjoyed treating her friends and family to home-cooked meals, and was known by many for her pumpkin bread deliveries at Thanksgiving, hand decorated cookies at Christmas, nut rolls at Easter and Friday night pizza gatherings all year round. She provided impromptu forums for togetherness. Connection and company was always welcomed by her. She was an organizer of events and was affectionately referred to as "the glue" of her family and friends. With a tremendous energy level, she enjoyed playing golf, pickleball, tennis, and taking daily walks. After retiring in her "dream home" on Lake Tellico, she often expressed her gratitude, by saying, "we are so fortunate." We carry this gratitude with us as we remember the legacy of love, hard work, and generosity she emulated.
Nancy was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle church in Lenoir City, Tennessee where funeral services will be held on November 17, 2025 at 11:00 preceded by a reception to greet Nancy's family at 10:00. Father Neil Blatchford will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the
