Amanda Wright Obituary
Amanda "Mandy" Jane Wright, age 37 of Cummings, GA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 26th, 2014 at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The family held a Memorial Service on Sunday, August 31st at 2 p.m., at the First Presbyterian Church in Springfield, Tennessee.
Mandy graduated from Briarcrest High School in Memphis and she received a BA in Marketing from the University of Tennessee. After college, Mandy worked for a number of years as a realtor with Crye-Leike in Memphis. After relocating to Georgia in 2010, she worked as a residential leasing agent. Mandy was an avid volunteer for a number of charities both in Tennessee and in Georgia. Mandy was tenacious in her work and volunteer activities, gregarious in personality and blessed with an infectious smile for every occasion.
Mandy is survived by her parents, Tom and Amanda Burnett Wright of Destin, Florida; her brother, Tom Wright, Jr. (Kristen), and two nieces, Abigail and Elizabeth of Wayne, Pennsylvania; and her grandmother, Ethlene Burnett of Springfield, Tennessee.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Culver Burnett of Springfield, TN and her paternal grandparents, S.W. and Geneva Wright of Memphis, TN.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in honor of Mandy to the Memphis Humane Society or to the Path of Grace in Miramar Beach, Florida.
