I knew him as Todd. We were childhood friends. He stayed with with his grandmother/grandfather Pardue a lot who were my neighbors across the street growing up. Todd was one year younger than me. I felt like he was my brother. We played together almost every night. We lost track after I turned 18 and moved away. I tried to look him up several times. I see from all the comments that he grew up into a wonderful man. I knew that he would. It saddens me greatly to know he is not with his family and friends any longer. You are in my heart.

.it been about 3 years...and now am saying something Andrew was the most kindest person as well as his family..i met him in boy scouts and in school with his son Duncan and that's how we met he was are leader...but I cared so much about him because how nice he treated me for me and he was one of the first to treat me like human other than family..and when I found he died when I came home from school...I felt a piece of me .gone and..just wanted to break down from losing a best friend..and I had a such a good time with them...we had a family in cub scout..but..I do blame myself even though I shouldn't... but I never ..got to say...thank you for being my friend Andrew..

It was my honor and privilege to have served with Andrew. I was blessed by his support and friendship. I sought his counsel and guidance often which he provided generously.

He made me a better military officer and person.

He would shrug off my praise and just say that he was doing his duty - however he knew that I knew better.

God bless his family. I pray that they are comforted by the love and support of our military family.

A great man has been lost, he will be greatly missed. LTC Grubb taught me so much when I started at VTS Smyrna. Because of him I am the soldier I am today, he was a great leader and a great role model. Thank you and you will be deeply missed.

LTC Grubb was one of my favorite Platoon Leaders. We served together at the Lenoir City unit and I remember the deep voice that he had surprised me coming from such a thin Officer. I love him like a Brother and I am crying as I write this....
My sincerest condolences to the family. My prayers go out to you and I will light a candle for him when I get home.
Continue the mission, Andrew... We will see each other again one day at Fiddler's Green.

Met LTC Grubb several years ago as we both worked at Smyrna VTS, then had him briefly as our BN Commander at RRB. From the beginning he struck me as a kind, helpful, considerate Leader who truly cared about all soldiers. Very sorry for your loss. He will be missed by all.

What a lost. My short time with the Tennessee Guard allowed me to work with some great leaders. He was a great leader of soldiers and was a person that would listen to his NCO's. Rest In Peace my friend. You will truly be missed. Prayers to the Tennessee National Guard, his friends and especially his family. The Lord has a new angel in his army.
