McCLOUD, BarryAge 70 of Nashville, TN. September 26, 2013. I lost my beloved husband, Barry McCloud, at midnight on the 26th. He was so very accomplished in the world of music. He was a professor at Belmont University and was an accomplished writer, (The Encyclopedia of Country Music). He has photographed every major celebrity one could imagine. A coffee table book of his photos will be published hopefully next year. He was a record producer, songwriter and we have platinum albums on our walls. He was the Charles Lamb Lifetime Achievement award winner. He has worked with the biggest and brightest. He has left his management firm soundly in place. The sheer force of folks calling, emailing, chatting and so on is so overpowering. He was a father to two sons, Elliott (Samantha) Saville and Alex (Rosalin) Saville; two of the most wonderful men, we are so proud of the boys. He has 2 proper grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren. He has also become a father to my niece and nephew I helped raise. A brother to my brother, Bradley and sister-in-law, Michelle. He is also a great puppy dog daddy to our fur son Hank, who is in a very deep state of depression. Barry was my husband, my BEST friend, my lover, my partner in crime. He gave me a wonderful life full of LOVE. What we have is nothing but pure magic. I may not be able to hold his hand, but he lives forever in my heart. I will always be Barry's wife. We will, in lieu of a proper funeral, have a jam session at the Musicians Union Hall or 5th and Lindsey's, due to tour dates, times and venues, are yet to be set.
