CHARLES CITY - Deaconess Irene V. Brown peacefully transitioned to her Heavenly home in her sleep, on Tuesday, December 27, 2016. She was a lifelong and dedicated member of Jerusalem Baptist Church, Charles City, Virginia. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish her precious memories with the love of her life, her husband, Deacon Percell Brown; her daughters, Barbara (Kevin), Joyce (James) and Yvette (Charles); her grandchildren, Michael (LaMonica), Shawn, James, Jr. and Alex; her great-grandchildren, A'Zavian, Amilliyon and Jalen; and a host of other loving relatives and many caring friends. A funeral service, celebrating the life she lived, will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 2, 2017, in Jerusalem Baptist Church, 14321 Sandy Point Road. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at the church by 12:30 p.m. on Monday. Deaconess Brown may be viewed on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
