Bran-Bran was a very sweet and funny young man. That smile and laugh was infectious to say the least. My prayers go out to you Ms. Kesha, Twain, and Montyco. I learned to love Bran-Bran like a little brother over the past couple of years I knew him. Words can't even begin to express how sadened I am over the loss of him. I know that there are no words that could be recited to even begin to take the pain away, but I hope that you know and believe that he is in a better place where he can no longer be harmed. Montyco and Antwain I love both of you like two of the brothers I've never had, and if there's anything that I could ever do for either one of you don't hesitate to call.

I pray that you will allow God to comfort you during this time. We really loved and cared for Bran-Bran. Gary and I will treasure the times you allowed us to share with him. Thank you for that time. Those are the moments we will hold dear to our hearts. As I sit here looking at some childhood photos of the boys when they were five and six years old, I couldn’t help but smile. What wonderful times they were. They were special times. Even at five years of age Bran-Bran knew how to enjoy a meal. One day while he was eating he said “Ms. Neal this food is good”. Boy, could that child eat! When he looked at me I had to smile because his smile was so beautiful. Please remember the good times.

I have never lost a child or sibling, so I can't say that I KNOW what you all are going through. I am even stuggling with words that I feel will be of any real comfort to you at this time.
However, I hope you find comfort in the outpouring of love and support that was shown last night at the candlelight vigil by not only Brandon's friends and classmates, but also by the parents of a lot of the children/teenagers who were there.
My son, Nicholas Dance, attended Haynes and played sports with Brandon. I didn't know him very well, but whenever I saw him (off the field or court) he was smiling or laughing. He was always respectful and kind. I hope that is also of some comfort to you because that means that you were doing a great job in raising him.
He will be missed by many and our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Our thoughts, hearts, and prayers go out to the Simmons family. I was deeply saddened when I heard the news of this tragedy. I have known " Bran Bran" since he was a 5th grade student at Haynes Middle where I was employed at the time. He was a friend of my daughters and though sometimes mischevious he was a good kid. He was silly, always had a joke to tell and can make any person smile on their worst day. I know there are no words I can use to comfort you during this time but I'm going to leave you with a verse I keep close to my heart at all times. Brandon was a real, close friend of mine he kept me smiling just to know that he has left my presents it's hurting me on the inside. Me in my familly will alway's pray for the simmons familly hope everythang goes good. It's hard losing someone that was friendly, cool, out going, funny and alway's made everyone laugh. But now that a real close friend of mine past it's hard for me to believe that he gone from my sight.

To the family of Bran Bran (as he was affectionally called by his peers and myself), my prayers and heart goes out to you. We don't know why things happen the way that they do, but GOD knows best. When your loved one is taken from you suddenly and unexpectly the pain and grief seems to be unbearable...but when you look to the hills from where your stength and help comes from. GOD will be there for you and your family, just ask for his guidiance. To Bran Bran parents, you had a wonderful,handsome, well respected, and delightful son. He was truly loved by all. God has now given Bran Bran his wings and Heaven has gained a precious jewel.

To the family of Brandon Simmons. My heart is heavy for you. I pray that God will give you comfort and peace. Lean heavy on his shoulders as the coming weeks will be difficult. Your family will continue to be in our family's prayers daily. Cyndi, my daughter, has spoken highly of Brandan "Bran-Bran" and prayed for him and his journey now. She requested that we send an angel to "Tan-Tan" to remind him that there is peace. I miss quoted the card at the shop and had "for brother to take home" I have read now that the intended recipient, "Tan-Tan" is a 'close' cousin. During this time let your heart feel God.
