I have been thinking of Mr. and Mrs. Courtenay so much lately. I was so saddened to pick up the paper and find the obituary.
I didn't know any of the children, but enjoyed hearing about you all. She was so proud of her family. Over the years our paths diverged and we didn't see quite so much of one another, but it was always so nice to see them out to dinner.
Miss Carolyn was the epitome of the southern lady. A true picture of charm and grace. When I read books about southern women, hers is the voice I hear when the characters speak. Always impeccably dressed and accessorized, she was such a sweetheart, a kind and caring soul. I am honored to have known her.
Prayers and blessings to the family, particularly, Mr. Courtenay. I am so very sorry for your loss.

To the family: I am very sorry to hear of your loss.
I remember seeing Mr. and Mrs. Courtenay out at different restaurants in Huntsville for many years. They were always very well dressed. They seemed very happy with each other. I am sure she will be sorely missed. Annette Cruse, Huntsville, AL
