Awww Mrs. Meriwether, I'm so sorry you've left this side. You crossed my mind while Watching A League of Their Own, I remember how you'd tell us about your husband's funny moments. I'll have you know I'm possibly still the worse Spanish or "Spanglish" student you ever had. I still wear that proudly. You'd say, "adding an O, doesn't make it Spanish" you knew what I meant just the same! Although many years late, condolences to your loved ones. I'll ensure to toast to you this Homecoming. 2025. - Dr. N.Bates, EdD- A silver daughter ever on the altar.

Curline was my Godmother and although as time went on and contact was sparse, I know she cared greatly not only for me, but for many that were blessed to know her. She will be greatly missed. Chuck, Jeremy, and Chris, my prayers are with you in your time of loss. God be with you all and know she's smiling down watching you daily.

Chuck, Jeremy and Chris I can't even begin to imagine how you all are feeling right now. The loss of your beloved Curline is devastating. I do know how much joy she felt for each of you and how dearly she was loved by family, friends, students and others. May each of you be wrapped in the blanket of her love and know that the entire Krause family sends you lots of love and prayers as well. God bless all of you.

Chuck, Jeremy, Chris and the rest of the extend family, my heart breaks for all of you. I only had the pleasure of meeting Curline at the World Series in 2004. But the love with which Chuck so often spoke of her spoke volumes. Always calling her throughout the day, joyously celebrating her successes and those of the sons they are so proud of. As I help guide the young umpires here in Florida on the right path, the advice I often give them regarding relationships is to find a strong caring bright and vital woman who is a true partner and equal who they adore and who adores them in return. Chuck and Curl were a shiny example of what a great marriage and partnership is all about. May God wrap you all in a tight embrace.

I knew Mrs. Meriwether (Ms. Parker) when I attended Fisk University 1980 - 1984. She was not only a teacher but a friend. To the Meriwether Family, I offer heartfelt condolences on the loss of a woman who I feel was an awesome mother, wife and teacher. May her soul rest in peace and that God provides the comfort and grace to carry you through during this sorrowful time.

There are few families in this world that when you first meet them, you instantly know that they are genuinely just “good people.” Curline, Chuck, Jeremy, and Chris are exactly that. We know this time is difficult, and our hearts go out to your entire family, but know that Curline is remembered with much love. She was always smiling, very positive, and one of those “shining lights” in the world that some of us are fortunate to meet. We will miss her greatly, but think of her often. Please know that our love and prayers are with you.

Chuck, Jeremy and Christ, I pray that you will lean on the words of God to gain strength to go through this time of sadness. I will miss Curline's encouraging words through the beautiful cards she always sent me. Remember, God loves each of you and will always be by your side. Jeremy and Christ, your mom loved you more than words can express. Continue to trust in the Lord and do those things that you know would please her and make her proud of you.
Love,
Carolyn (cousin in Richmond, Va.)
