I love you my dear son I miss you so much. I think about you everyday Im so very sad we were so close my life is so different now. I have a whole in my heart that can't be filled. I have your wonderful two sister's which have saved my life I don't think I could have made it through these last 7 years without them and my wonderful husband. I miss you so much holiday's just aren't the same son !!! I go on , our church has been amazing couldn't have made it without them !!! Danny I never met you but I did follow your story every day. Every time I would pass by a river I would think of you and think he could be down there somewhere. I am so glad they found you and now your family can have some sort of peace. You will be missed by alot of people and wish I could have met you.

Danny's procession passed our house today, and my heart went out to all the family & friends who lost such a young man. The procession was a moving sight to see, and gave me the chance to explain to my three year old son what a brave man Danny was, as well as his family and rescue workers who put their heart & souls into finding him. Our thoughts are with you!

Although I never met Danny, he has been such an inspiration to me and my friends. We started a prayer chain that went out into several states as well as our own home state of Tennessee. Watching and praying for the family has been an awesome blessing. To see the strength of Danny's family and friends during all has been such a powerful witness to us all. May God continue to hold your family close and may Danny's loving memory live on!

To my family: I feel so bad I cannot be there for the services. I am so glad you never gave up hope and know that nobody gave up praying. Although the situation isn't anywhere near what we want, take comfort in knowing Danny is in Heaven where he belongs. He truly was one of God's angels at work on Earth while we had him here. Anyone who met him was blessed and I wish we wouldn't have lost contact. I am thankful for the time I got reconnected with him tho. Peace, love, thoughts, and prayers are with you always. I love you Danny and everybody in the family.

I did not know Danny personally but my friend lived across the street from him on the ridge. I could tell that Danny was proud of his home. He always kept his yard in perfect condition. I admired him from afar. That is why I am extending my thoughts to the family. I know he was a special man and I am sorry for your loss. May God be with you.

We miss you Danny. It has been awhile since our days in high school, but we always remembered you had the biggest heart. You were fun-loving yet humble. It doesn't even seem like this is real. I will miss everything about you. Your smile, laugh, the way you would bite your lip when you were telling momma a lie, haha. Danny although I am not at the funeral,I said my goodbye to you at the river. I will miss you so much but I know you are happier where you are in Jesus arms. I feel like if we asked you to come back you would say catch me later in heaven as you would be smiling with that beautiful smile you have. Tell Diane that I will see the both of you one day. Sherry I love you my sister, and you know my heart was there with you during the funeral. Mike my brother, thank you for always having faith in me to take care of Sherry while you were away. I dont quite know what to say. You were there for me in a really bad time in my life, and took me to your church a few times. You always had nothing but kind words for everyone, My ONLY acceptance is that there is NO DOUBT that you are in Heaven, as a bunch of ppls angel. I love so much brother, I miss you like crazy and it just doesnt seem real to be doing this, you were the strongest person i knew and i always thought youd be putting me in headlocks when i was 50 saying "tap snap or nap its your choice!!" You were such a blessing in my life and that i got to point to you and call you MY brother. Thank you for being in my life and blessing me with a sweet, loving, aggrevating, big brother!!!
