I miss my friend Crace so much...his words of wisdom and his keen sense of wit and sarcasm pop into my head every week. I loved him. I loved his family. I miss him dearly but I know hes in the arms of God. Love ya Crace.

David and I shared a wonderful bond, though the years had passed and our contacts grew further and further apart, our friendship never faded. Every Veteran's Day he called to thank me for my military service and, unlike so many others, he really meant it. We shared many stories about the challenges and immeasurable rewards of marriage, the mutual difficulties having kids and then the wonderful difficulties raising them. He shared his deep religious faith with me and I shared my equally deep agnostic beliefs with him. There was never any judgement, just acceptance and respect. We never once talked about work or career. As I've entered my 50's, many things that were once crystal clear have become unclear but one thing that's become so clear is the quality, durability and wonderfulness of a handful of lifelong friendships forged so many years ago. I will always savor the moments of life shared with him and his beautiful wife, Jennifer.

I worked with David many years ago. What a good, kind, wonderful person. A lovely energy. He was devoted to his wife and family ( this was before kids, but I remember him speaking often of his parents and siblings) and just a ransom thing, I remember him telling me how much he enjoyed spending time with older people. David was a delight to all who knew him. His optimism and enthusiam were infectious. His brilliance shined on all of us- he challenged the status quo, and made all of us better at what we do. He leaves us with a great void, but we are so much richer for having worked with him.
