His family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 13 at the church with a rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. There will be a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 14 with Rev. What a wonderful opportunity to have met you both on the river trip in Europe in 2016 and being able to enjoy so many sites and meals together. We will treasure the memories. Travel is a wonderful opportunity to meet lovely people.

Whilst we are a long way away and unable to give you a hug Laura, please know that our thoughts are with you at this very sad time.

David was my friend. We met through business / we did a lot of business together / we sat, many times, in ORD airport and talked while awaiting delayed and cancelled flights...just trying to get home to our respective wives and families. Through it all, we became friends. "Humble" is a word that comes to mind...a word not often used to describe senior executives. "Respected" is another word. Those who worked for him and with him, respected his intelligence, knowledge, wisdom and counsel...and above all, his calmness, while in the midst of great adversity. He mentored many - teaching them to respect all employees regardless of their rank and role. He was devoted to Laura. He was devoted to his family. He was strong in his faith. He always had your back. I miss him. May God bless him because we were certainly blessed to have him in our lives.

David was my colleague at the American Red Cross and he will be missed. David was compassionate, sincere, and I'm blessed to have known him.

Rest peacefully my friend and watch over your loved ones.

Laura and family, my sincerest condolences to you and I hope the many, many memories you have provide comfort to you during your grief.

I went through St. Elizabeth's elementary school with David, K-8. He was exceptionally smart, a high achiever and a fun conversationalist! He seemed to thrive on tackling new challenges and excelling in whatever he did. He was fearless and lived life to the fullest. I admired Dave and will always remember his friendship. Dave, you did it all!

My condolences to his family.

Dave was one of my favorites in high school. Remarkable combination of toughness, tenderness, intelligence and compassion. I am feeling pain in my heart with his passing. Always hoped to reconnect after being separated by our working careers. I will say a prayer for his family. I am confident Dave is in heaven now.

My sincere prayers for Dave and his family. Although we did not run in the same circle of friends, there was always the Rockhurst camaraderie, which transcends all! I know you are in the thoughts of many other classmates and friends and will be missed by so many!
