Gordon Winfree Obituary
Carthage - Age 77. February 16, 2020. Long-time resident of the Plunketts Creek Community. Wilson Farmers Co-Op retiree and member of Knob Spring Missionary Baptist Church. Son of the late Gordon Winfree Sr. & Mary Bell Webb Winfree. Preceded in death by a grandson, Adam Lee Winfree.
Survived by wife, Cornelia Watson Winfree; children, Bruce Winfree & wife Lori of the Plunketts Creek Community, Jan Winfree Dennis & husband Smiley of the Watervale Community; sisters, Jean Craig of Rome, Becky Underhill & husband Paul of Mt. Juliet; brothers, Charles Winfree of Lebanon, Bobby Winfree & wife Peggy of Flat Rock; grandchildren, Tyler & Blake Winfree, Jayden Dennis.
Service 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home with Eld. Heath Dodson & Eld. Jackie Kemp officiating. Pallbearers, Jayden Dennis, Tyler & Blake Winfree, Tim, Shane, & Kevin Lankford, Janssen & Richard Lee Watson, Steve Craig, Chris Bennett, Joey Winfree.
Interment in the Smith County Memorial Gardens.
