Lillie Grace Close age 102, died Tuesday, June 28, 2016. Born Sept. 18, 1913 in Dekalb County, she was the daughter of the late Tandy Walker Fitts and Elizabeth Ann Trapp Fitts. Grace was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Alton Close; brother, Bernice Fitts; sister, Martha Nell Fitts Scott and a great grandson, Zachary Lee Close. Grace is survived by a son, Ben Close of Dowelltown; daughter, Judy Close of Florida; grandchildren, Dwayne (Elaine) Close, Daryl (Angie) Close, David (Renee) Close and Mary Grace (Howard) Bennett; 8 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. Funeral services 1 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2016 at the Alexandria First Baptist Church with Bro. Billie Friel and Bro. Scott Benette officiating. Visitation 10 am - 8 pm Thursday.
