Passed away, December 7, 2013.
Age 67, a.k.a. Millard Monroe ("Junior") Simms
Born in Baton Rouge, a self-taught lead guitarist since his teens, he became a trucker after serving in the Navy. For 50 years, JR played in bands from DC to LA and Jacksonville to Chicago, finally settling in Nashville.
Burial was delayed while searching for next of kin.
The service will be at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 10 a.m.

I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of JR. I remember him for being very kind and caring.
I believe he touched many lives and am praying for those close to him to have peace knowing he is in a better place, sharing his musical talents with others. Thank you also, JR, for being of service to our country.
