James Claborn Bellar, age 91 passed away on Thursday, February 9th, 2017 at his residence in Dickson, TN. He was born on May 21st, 1925 to the late Horace and Vera Gilmore Bellar . In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Guthrie Bellar; brothers Owen, Robert, and Eugene Bellar; sister Irene Choate; grandson Keith Bellar; and great-granddaughter Kaleigh Choate.
He is survived by one son, Ricky Bellar (Debbie) of Dickson, TN; two daughters, Diana Cothern and Cynthia Hayes (Larry) all of Dickson; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 11th at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with brother Adair officiating. Interment followed at Edgewood Cemetery.
