John Gannon Obituary

GANNON, John Michael Age 61 of Murfreesboro, passed away Friday, May 23, 2008 at Adams Place Rehab Center. Born in Malden, MA, he had lived in Rutherford County for the past 5 ½ years. He was an elevator salesman with Schindler Elevator Corp and was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church. Mr. Gannon was preceded in death by his mother, Ann M. Wilson Gannon and a brother, Peter Gannon. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Jo Somers Gannon of Murfreesboro; daughters, Mindy Gannon and Jenny Gannon Greenwell, both of Murfreesboro and Kelly Gannon Tillman of Nashville; father, John J. Gannon; brothers, Mark Gannon of NJ and Kevin Gannon of Alaska; sister, Maggie Gannon of NJ; grandchildren, Zane Michael Gannon, Georgiana Tillman and Bryce Greenwell. Funeral service for Mr. Gannon will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at St. Rose Catholic Church with Father Mingel D'Souzsa officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tribute Program, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942. Dear Family,

Michael was such a gentle man and knew the love of Our Lord and Father. We were so blessed to share him for such a short time. We will miss him. Our sympathy and love to all the family and to those who have known Michael as a dear friend.
