John Wray Obituary
Hendersonville, TN
John Bentley Wray passed January 20, 2017 at home in Hendersonville, TN. Born November 18, 1926 in Russellville, KY. Survived by wife, Judy Aaron Wray, step-daughter, Andrea Simmons Polla (Magnus) of Fjaras, Sweden, grandson, Zachariah Djennas of Fjaras, Sweden, and 13 nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents Elwood and Nell Pedigo Wray; sisters, Ann Wray, Helen Sprague, Adeline Howell, and Nancy Moran.
Johnny served honorably in the U.S. Navy in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the VFW and a 70 year member of the American Legion Post 5 in Nashville. He worked as a sales representative in the electronics field, and later worked in real estate sales and appraisals.
Visitation and life celebration with family and friends on January 24, 2017, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Austin and Bell Funeral Home. A private interment will be held at Red Oak Grove Church Cemetery in Russellville, KY at a later date.
A special thanks to Raymond Aaron, Marie Crawford, Jeanette Bergman, Fate Evans, nephew Dicky Moran, and Alive Hospice for providing awesome comfort, care, and support. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial contributions to Alive Hospice or to Red Oak Grove United Methodist Church, 4200 Orndorff Mill Road, Russellville, KY 42276.
