Joy Gower Obituary
Nashville - Born May 14, 1939, passed away peacefully surrounded by family Thursday, April 5, 2018. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Joe D. Gower; daughter, Monica Jo Gower (Duke Fleming); sister in laws, Jane Gower Hulett, June Gower Gilmore and husband Michael Gilmore; niece, Carol Shofner Preston; nephews, Michael Gilmore and Jeffery Malone; grand niece, Melea Gilmore.
She is preceded in death by her sisters, Judy Moore and Mary Catherine Shofner.
She will be greatly missed by those who knew her and her kind, generous, loving ways. Her name "Joy" well describes how she lived her life and the bright light she was. We love and miss you Joy.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 9, 2018, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, and on Tuesday from 11:00am until the service time at 12:00pm, both at West Harpeth Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
