I am so very sorry that he is now gone. I have only the best memories of Larry and going to Aunt Normaline's house. I always looked so foward to seeing all of my family when we went. I remember the summers at the house on 50th Ave. and miss it and everyone there. I know that he is now with God and his mom and dad, what a happy reunion for them, but what a lose here. My heart is with Jack and Joel and his children. He will be very much missed he was always so sweet to me and a very loving person. I love you all. Your cousin Jamie Chasteen Whitmore

I attended the service today for Larry at the veterans cemetery, it was a very special service. I am so proud of his service to our country. I remember, with help from home movies, a going away party that we had for Larry before he left for Vietnam. It was so much fun, we had a very fun and loving family. Lots of dancing, lots of laughing, and lots of hugs, a good time was had by all! We all will miss our dear family member, he was such a joy to have in our family! Love you so much Larry!

I only had the privilege of knowing Larry for the last year of his life. Larry was kind-hearted to all that knew him. I still have people coming by the plant to ask about Larry. Larry didn't know the words can't or won't, he would just figure out a way to do things. I hoped and prayed for the best when he was diagnosed with the cancer, but take comfort in knowing he has no more pain and is in a better place. Larry will be greatly missed by all of us in the Universal Linen/American Towel family.

Jack,
I am so sorry to learn this way about Larry. He was such a great kid at Cohn, and it was great working with you at Thomerson's. Every time on "Duck Dynasty" when they talk about Uncle Si's plastic tea cup he had cherished since his Mom sent it to him in a care package in Vietnam, I think of the day your Mom came into the drugstore after she had gotten off from work, still in her white uniform, to show us a plastic pitcher and set of tumblers she bought at Kuhn's 5-and-10 and was going to put in a care package to Larry serving in the Marines in Vietnam. It always brings back to me how those times were full of worries, and how families remained close and their love kept each other going. Y'all were wonderful folks, and I offer my sincere condolences.
