Lauren Agee

Lauren Taylor Agee, 21 years old, left her earthly home to join her family in Heaven on July 26, 2015.

Visitation will be held at First United Methodist Church, 217 E. Main St., Hendersonville, TN from 2 p.m. - 8 p.m. Thursday, July 30th and 10 a.m. - 12 Noon Friday, July 31st. Funeral service will be held at the church Friday, July 31, 2015 at 12 Noon.

We celebrate her short time on earth as she soars high above the clouds listening to her favorite Drake songs through blinged out "Dre" beats. No doubt the Heaven's just got a little more interesting and a lot more fun.

Lauren was born on August 19, 1993 in Biloxi, MS. Full of sugar and a little bit of spice, she lit up every room she entered with her sweet spirit, infectious energy, enchanting smile and disarming dimples. Simply put, she was beautiful…..and hilarious. She loved making those around her laugh and sing and dance and then laugh some more with her bubbly personality and hysterically quick wit!

Lauren's huge heart and love for others made her everyone's "Bestie". She was your best friend even if she wasn't your best friend. She was the person you could always count on to have your back and she never hesitated for a moment to step in for the underdog when need be.

Lauren followed her dreams, but not always the rules. She was spontaneous, full of life and often colored outside of the lines. Music and dancing were her passion. She was a gifted dancer and member of the award winning Hendersonville High Golden Girls dance team for 4 years and received a dance scholarship to Bethel University. She had recently transferred over to Vol State to study criminal justice.

Second only to her family and friends was her love for animals. She never met an animal that didn't immediately fall in love with her…..or likewise her with them.

The tragic death of Lauren Taylor Agee has touched the lives of so many. She is survived by her #1 fan and mother Mrs. Sherry Anderson Smith, father Mr. Brian Agee, step-father Mr. Michael smith, beloved sisters Alison Bivens, Jordan Smith and brother Joshua Smith, adoring grandmother Mrs. Violet Balerezo Anderson, grandfather Mr. James Edward Anderson III, grandfather Mr. James Agee and preceded in death by her loving grandmother, Mrs. Charlotte Agee. Stephen Anderson, uncles, Stennis & Paula Smith and Stephen Anderson, step-grandparents along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and hundreds of "Besties"! Fly high sweet Lauren… thank you for reminding us all to "breathe". Your love, your big heart, your smile and most of all your laughter will never be forgotten…….now breathe.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sumner County Humane Society or HHS Golden Girls Lauren Taylor Agee Scholarship Fund.

I don´t know anybody from your family, and I doubt you even check it, but I really hope y´all found closure and were able to at least find out who did that to her. I´m incredibly sorry for the loss of your beautiful daughter. She was so incredibly gorgeous and looks like she would light up any room she walked into. Much love.

I never met Lauren but I think about her a lot. We were the same age that summer. I pray for her family often & I am truly sorry for your loss. God and His angels were there to take Lauren home. May she Rest In Peace.

I had a dream about Lauren a few nights ago. It was just her face smiling and laughing. She was so happy. I wanted you to know she is in a very happy place. And I felt like God allowed me to see her. I feel that she is close. I miss her so much! I will continue to pray for her family and friends.

Sherry, I don't even have the words to say how heartbroken I am for you. Tay was an extraordinary girl and I know how she was the apple of your eye. I keep thinking about all the conversations we had about our girls, and I just can't even begin to know how you are getting through this. My heart and prayers go out to you, Michael, and Brian, for the loss of such a beautiful soul and the light in your life. I just hope that there is some way, or some how, that you can find some kind of peace. I keep saying a prayer that God keeps you wrapped in his arms to somehow allow you to get through all of this. I remember driving around eating Taco Bell with you in high school! I remember we would drive by the houses of guys we had crushes on. We were supposed to be working on your Spanish homework lol but instead we would talk about all of the hot guys in Hendersonville and the drama as well. I remember anytime I needed a talk or you needed one we would go drive in my jeep Cherokee and listen to drake. I miss you so much! I miss doing all of your Spanish homework lol and goofing off in child development class! I miss that Spring Break I took with you and your family and how goofy you were! I miss how you always called me "bridgeeee" or "bride" lol You weren't afraid to be yourself and I'm so glad you taught me to be true to myself and that its okay to be goofy. I miss you so much and I'm praying for your family! I love you Lauren!

I met Lauren a couple of times when she was hanging out with my son Dylan Trail. We all fell in love with her. She was smart and funny and didn't mind putting the guys in their place when they were playing catch phrase this past Super Bowl Sunday. It breaks my heart to loose her.
