To the Griggs Family
My prayers are with you all. I enjoyed having your dad and mom as neighbors when I lived on Red Oak. Lisa was very nice to me. I ask that God will give you strength to endure this race and raise your children to be the best. I lost my dad 10 days before Lisa and I know the pain you're feeling. We'll see them both in Glory.

Lisa was one of the best social workers that I have come into contact with. She and I had several cases together. Lisa would give each and every client 120 percent. Then when I foster cared and adopted a child, Lisa became involved in my family life as well. She was so helpful to each of my boys. Lisa was so "matter of fact" with each of the children. She spoke so honestly about issues, but was so graceful in her presentation.
My heart is with all of her family. My prays will contue to be with you. God bless you Lisa, and your family. And thanks for everything you did as a Social Worker and for being such an inspiration.

Bro. Griggs and The Griggs Family
It saddens me to hear about the passing of Mrs. Lisa Griggs. From all the comments made I believe that she was a loving and caring woman. As you go through this time of bereavement stay strong and hold on to your faith for GOD has a divine purpose for everything. For the bible says "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy shall cometh in the morning." Stay strong and be Blessed.

As so many other sentiments have suggested, Lisa was one of the best Social Workers I have ever known. I met her about 10 years ago when I was just starting graduate school...And knew I wanted to be as bright, as funny, as compassionate, and as "real" as she was, professionally. I had the opportunity to come work for her after cancer challenged her determination and spirit and am so proud of the battle she waged! Little Darren and Darian, don't ever question that your mother loved you more than the world! Someone only had to say "How are the kids?" to bring the biggest smile to your mother's face, no matter what stresses were going on around her!

I worked in Human Resources at OLOP about 6 years ago now, I had the privilege of talking with Lisa periodically. What a beautiful women she was, bright, articulate and so kind. Her son was about a year old then I think and she was so proud of him and you could tell by the way she spoke how much she loved her family.
I have been thinking about Lisa and her familiy all week, even though I did not know her family and the words of comfort are so difficult to come by. I know your family is strong and will take care of each other and move forward as Lisa would want you to. The heaven's are brighter now because Lisa bright outlook is there, she will be sorely missed. My prayers are with you all.

I had the honor of giving Lisa her first tour when she started at OLOP, and had many fond memories working with her and sharing an office with her for awhile. She spoke so often about her family and all they meant to her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.
