Ms. Hunni here...Quan, you are never forgotten. I know that now that Coach Campbell is up there with you, you're going through all of your football stories. How you loved the game! You live in all of our hearts, forever. #Warriors4Ever

My prayers goes out to the family of Marquis Wilkerson. He left this world unexpectedly, but God had other plans for him. Quan was a genuine, and very down to earth person. I am glad I got the chance to befriend him. I never knew him as the type of person to make enemies. He just lived life the best way he knew how & "did him"(in my eyes). He was so talented, lyrical, articulate, wise, and encouraging. He had a way with words. He was a friend whose thoughts&words I valued a lot. When Quan spoke it made sense to me, majority of the time lol. I won't forget his joking, bright smile or his love for music(rapping).
Even though the thought of his absence takes time to digest, God is in control. Quan will remain alive as long as we keep him in our memories. His flesh might be gone but MARQUIS DE"QUAN" WILKERSON will never be forgotten.

To the Wilkerson and Thomas Family, my heart goes out to each of you. I attended Quan's funeral last Saturday but was simply unable to extend my condolences to you at that time. I sincerely apologize. I was so overwelmed by the grief of his classmates from Hunters Lane, that it took all of my strength to attempt to comfort them. When I viewed Quans earthly remains, I was overcome by the thought that this was perhaps the first time I had ever seen him without a smile on his face. That is what I will remember the most-his smile. He could joke and fool around in class till I was annoyed with him but all he had to do was smile and I couldn't help but smile back. He was a beloved Warrior. I thank you for sharing him with us. The tragic loss of his life, so filled with promise, is beyond measure.

Dear Ms. Wilkerson and Mr. Thomas,
I wanted to let you know my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. I didn't know Quan personally, but work with students who knew him. They have shared some wonderful stories about how kind and funny he was. May you have peace during this difficult time.

Man, I rode by Quan's car today and it hurt my feelings not to see him sitting on it smoking a Black and Mild. I still blew the horn like he was right there. I'm going to miss my lil Homie.

I met Quan at a young age, through one of my good friends. We would always laugh and joke around and stuff. A group of my friends would call are self "family", in this family you would have a play mom, play dad and so on so on. Quan was my play dad and every so often he would call and check on me, and help me with situations i was going through in my life at that time. He use called me daughter even though i was 2 yrs younger than him. I remember one time he said to me,"You make sure you do good in school, and worry about them boys after you go to high school and graduate". Me being the age I was, I really took it as a joke. But now me being 18 and about to graduate in less than 6 weeks i understand the reasons why he told me that, and I'm truly grateful. Although we haven't talked in about a yr or so, even the little memories and fun times we had together, made me who I am to today and a part of that i have Quan to thank! My prayer goes out to his family and friends, and may we all find peace in a hearts to know that he is in a better place.

I went to Hillsboro and Hunters Lane with Quan. He always had a smile on my face. He will be missed dearly. We have to remember that he didn't belong to any of us but God. That's who he is with. Tears are liquid prayers but let the memories take over the sadness. God Bless The Family and Loved Ones.

I will never forget the first time I met Quan. It was a warm, beautiful night for Hillsboro Homecoming football game. Ever since then we've always been friends. He always made sure I knew his whole name and never forgot, but who could ever forget such a name and such a wonderful person! Quan always knew how to make a person smile or feel special. He was very caring and I could always talk to him about anything. I will truly miss my dear friend, Marquis DeQuan Wilkerson, and my prayers go out to his family. Kenetra just know I am always here for you and I love you sis.

To this day I still remember when we ran track together and went to hillsboro together. Its nothing like having a real good friend that you could trust. Quan was and still is a man of good stature! I pray for your family to stay strong and to know that Quan is in a better place now, rather than this corrupt world that we are in. God is going to bless you all! Stay strong and Me and my family are praying for your family. Love from the Jackson family to your family.

Quan was the type of person to walk into a room and completely erase any tension or hostility. He was always making people laugh and one of the truest and most honest people I ever had the pleasure of knowing. We will all miss him and are keeping him and your family in our thoughts and prayers. Although Marquis is no longer with us I will never, ever forget the times we spent and the impression he left on me. Love you Quan, see you when I get there.

To Donna,Patrick, and the entire Wilkerson and Thomas family, I was deeply saddened upon hearing the loss of "Quan". I remember him when he was just a baby, seems like yesterday, and he had grown into such a handsome and very pleasant young man. I pray that God will lighten the load of your heavy hearts. May God continue to bless each of you. (Onyedi)

I was Marquis "Quan" Wilkersons social studies teacher at Hunters Lane. I will remember always his wit, his amazing smile and his incredible intelligence. He was exceptional. Quan was always articulate and polite. He loved sports, working on the school newspaper and pretty ladies. My heart goes out to all who loved and lost him far too soon.

To the family,
My deepest sympathies is for you. In this time of bereavement, know that everything is going to be alright. Everything you can see, Everything you can feel. Everything you can touch. Everything that is real. Everything that is lost. Everything that costs. Know my dear that everything is going to be alright.
I have yet to know the heartache of a brother lost, but we are praying for you. And every good and perfect gift is given from the Father above. HE gives to you memories, so precious concerning your son. Now, HE gives unto you, to experience HIS love in the loss of your son. May HE hold you, and comfort you in HIS bosom this day and forever more.
