Michael Ishie Obituary
Nashville, TN
April 22, 1940 - January 27, 2016
Age 75, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2016.
Mr. Ishie was born in Pensacola, FL, but spent much of his youth growing up in Jacksonville, FL and later attended The University of Georgia where he played football. For the past 50 years, Mr. Ishie has lived in Nashville, TN, where he owned his own business as a successful real estate appraiser.
Some of his favorite pastimes included cooking breakfast for anyone who would sit at his table, attending "board meetings" with his buddies, and spending time with his family especially while vacationing in Florida.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Pamela Williams Ishie. He is also survived by his son, David Scott Ishie (Cheri) of Nashville, TN; daughters, Elizabeth Ishie Farris (Matt) of Collierville, TN; Karen Ishie Capshaw, of Woodstock, GA brother, David Trzcinski (Andrea) and sister, Paula Salem of Jacksonville, FL and grandson, Jared Ishie of Nashville, TN.
A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, January 30, 2016, at 12:00PM, at West Harpeth Funeral Home. Visitation will begin Saturday at 10:00am until the service hour. An online guestbook is available at www.westharpethFH.com

Bernice and I were so sorry to hear that Mike had passed away. Our deep condolences go to Pam and the family. Mike and I had a friendship that begin during our school days and continued to the present. We played football together at Lee High. He was a very good athlete but was humble about it. Camille and I are both shocked and saddened to hear of Mike's passing. We consider both of you dear friends and will miss him greatly. We have enjoyed our dinners with you and Mike over the years. Mike Ishie was a dear and wonderful friend from our Lee days until now. His death is a shock and it saddens us greatly. We will miss Mike at our Lee dinners in Nashville. Pam and Elizabeth, you are in our prayers and thoughts!!

In the late 60's /early 70's I worked for Mike and his great friend Bill Manier. I have the greatest memories of those days riding to property exams and Mike giving me his knowledge on appraisal skills, but most significantly his various philosophical wisdoms on life. I still quote Mike on a few great and funny perspectives I will never forget. Years later my office and I have worked extensively with Mike and greatly admired his talent, candor and friendship.
