Mike Pierson Obituary
Brentwood, TN
Michael David Pierson. Age 45, May 4, 2014. Mike is survived by his wife of 24 years, Kathy Knox Pierson; daughter and son, Hailey and Tate Pierson; mother, Pat Pierson; father, Ed Pierson and wife Caron; sister, Nancy Pierson; brother, Ryan Pierson; mother and father-in-law, Kaye and Ron Knox; brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Rachel Knox and Julie and Matt McLean; and many cousins, nieces and nephews who were always excited to spend time with Uncle Mike.
Mike was a graduate of Brentwood Academy, where he and Kathy met and became high school sweethearts. He received his bachelor's degree from Auburn University. Mike enjoyed a career in the food services industry and was recognized for his outstanding service to his customers. His greatest love, however, was in spending time with his family, whether it was traveling or watching his children's athletic events. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend who enthusiastically supported all sports, and had a great sense of humor. He was an honest and genuine man who touched the hearts of many. Mike was a true blessing to all who knew him.
To Celebrate his Life, Rev. Don Logan will conduct a service at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 9 at First Presbyterian Church in Nashville. There will be a time of visitation on Thursday, May 8 from 4-7 p.m. in Courtenay Hall at the church.

I didn't know Mike but I know his mother and father in law. Through them, I know this was a very close knit family, They are the best neighbors anyone could have and we grieve for the entire Knox/Pierson families.

I am so sorry for your loss. I couldn't believe it when I heard it. I thought for sure it was a mistake. I didn't know Mike very well personally, but at every foodshow I would look for him. He was always happy and smiling and usually had a hilarious joke or story to tell. He was one of the best people I have ever worked with in my 12 years. There is nothing I can say right now to relieve your pain, but please know that Mike was well loved in every aspect of his life.
