I was deeply saddened over the passing of my cousin Pamela, I hadn't seen or talked to her in close to 30 years. Oftentimes, she crossed my mind and I remembered some of the times we spent growing up together in Savannah i.e. riding on the same float in the Christmas parade(still have the photo). Like Lauren I always thought that I would see her again, but one never knows for sure. Nonetheless. it is quite consoling to see the strong legacy she made during her life.

I remember Dr. Williams as far back as the 1st grade at Sara Mills Hodge Elementary School, Savannah Ga. I can still hear her and her 2nd grade classmates in Mrs. Morris' class reciting grace loudly in the cafeteria before eating lunch in unison with here other classmate....Judy Hunter. Those were some gorgeous sisters, even back then. .I remember her walking to Denegalls and Mr. Jackson's corner store on West Broad Steet as I sat on the porch of my grand parent's house on Victory Dr., always being polite and friendly. She may have been a distant cousin I think? Boy was she smart!Over the years we lost touch. I am so sadden to hear of another pioneer passing on at such a young age! Condolences to all friends and family!!

To The Family of Dr. Pamela Williams, she was an armour bearer and a lover of GOD. May the work she's done speak for her in this life and life eternal. The Gallatin TN family of the First Church of Deliverance will always keep you in our hearts and the family (much) in our prayers. Now you can truly receive those "Showers of Blessings".

Dr. Williams, Pamela to all that knew her, was always kind, always calm and angelic to those who crossed her path. Unwavering and true to the mission of Meharry Medical College, her spirit and legacy will remain in the hearts of all Meharrians present and in time to come. How wonderful it is to think of her with a smile and a prayer...

Dean Williams was a kind, supportive mentor. She in many ways was the face of the administration for many students, and she will be missed.

Dr. Williams was a mother figure to us (meaning--medical students) all especially the ‘struggling students'. She had faith in us as long as we had faith in ourselves. She didn't try to stop us on our journey; she kept us moving forward towards our goal of becoming physicians. She gave us strength and hope to pass our courses and exams as we dealt with our daily lives. We knew that she was in our corner as long as we were on the right track. We could always count on her when we needed her. I can still remember Dr. Williams' expression as I received my diploma and walked across that stage! What a joyous day. She touched so so many lives. Even though many of us are far away in distant places she is part of us in spirit. She will truly truly be missed!!!

To those who mourn the loss of Dr. Pamela C. Williams I offer these words. God blessed the Meharry Community with a gifted daughter after His own heart. Dr. Williams epitomized the teachings of Christ - she was a humble, willing servant who blessed this world with motivating several generations of servant-leaders. In her quiet way, she honed the very best out of us and advocated tirelessly for us. Her strength and dignity in the fight against her ultimate foe was admirable. Let us pledge to honor her memory by keeping the doors of Meharry open always, representing her well and being selfless, caring, compassionate ambassadors.
Thank you, Dr. Williams! May your memory live on forever.

Dean Williams was one of the single most influential people in educating up to three generations of physicians in my family. Her passing is more than a loss for those who were touched by her and the Nashville community. There are some who pass through our lives who are irreplaceable...She was certainly one of those individuals for hundreds of health professionals including those in my family.
