I am so sorry for your loss. Please take comfort in the memories of time shared. Never forget that God cares. May his care soothe your hearts. (1Peter5:7)

I had the honor of knowing Mr. Barnes for several years. I always admired his stories of his ordeals at Guadalcanal and his down to earth lessons of life he imparted. He is not only a national hero but a strong man of Faith. He is our loss but God's new companion! Rest in Peace Pete and SEMPER FI.
