Sarah Shuler Obituary

Sarah Dorcas (Herron) Shuler

Franklin - Sarah Dorcas (Herron) Shuler, age 98 of Franklin TN died peacefully at home Tuesday, October 2nd, 2019. Mrs. Shuler was born in Gillett, Arkansas and was the daughter of the late Sam T. and Clara Bell Herron. Preceded in death by her husband, Cecil M. Shuler, brother Clinton Phelps, and daughter-in-law Maureen E. Shuler (William). Survived by children James, William and Robert, daughters-in-law Diana Shuler and Veronica (Ronnie) Shuler, her sister Elizabeth Mitchell, 5 grandchildren, Chris Shuler, Kevin Shuler, Katie Hermanson, Lauren Shuler and Sarah Shuler and 3 great-grandchildren, Gus and Fin Shuler, and Aila Hermanson.

Longtime member of Harpeth Hills Church of Christ she and her husband traveled extensively around the world and in 1976 she helped her husband start Shuler Systems Inc. Dorcas was an avid gardener, reader, quilter and bird watcher. She was a superb cook and gifted with a strong intellect and great wit. Loved by all who knew her, she will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home Friday October 4th from 6 - 8pm and Saturday from 11am - 1pm concluding with a memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for Agape of Nashville and Faith Family Medical Center of Nashville.
