May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
I am saddened to learn of his passing. Although I did not know Stuart well, barely at all, my parents and his were very close friends, and they would often visit with us in our home in Aurora, Colorado and references to him were always a part of those visits.
A few years ago, on a whim, I sought out "Stukey" to ask him to share some memories of both of our parents, and he was kind and gracious and shared his thoughts very freely.
Rest in peace my friend.

It was this great player's licks that first 'sucked' me into the Pedal Steel Sound, on the George Hamilton IV album 'Canadian Pacific'
RIP - And eternal thanks.......

Stu was a Master at taking control of and intro or turnaround when most of the other musicians didn't fully know much about the song. I enjoyed my time with him at Gass's in Mt. Juliet. I was always amazed at how he would put his own " Spin" on the old ones from Wayne kemp when i sang them. At times, i would forget to come back in on the verse from watching him. Gonna miss one of the GREATS......take the twang and put some minors and 7ths for em in the big house Stu !
