Not sure what to say?

I don't even know what to say. I fell in love with “String” years ago due to his persona. Our relationship was difficult but I stood by his side from a distance. What I find so totally strange is that he passed on my birthday and what caused us to contact was that when we first met I knew is name and knew he was 25 and it was the first time we had met. Totally caught his attention. That is just kind of creepy to me. This makes me so very sad, so very, very sad. He was a beautiful person in my eyes and always will be. Glad he was sober!!! This just breaks my heart and I wish peace and healing for all. I would never have recognized him had I not gone back and looked at the handsome picture that I remember. I am still saying “just damn"

Sharon,
I'm sorry to hear of Bill's departure. I recall the backyard softball games with Bill and you and all the Hillsboro Park kids at your house long years ago. Great times and fond memories and on to HHS days. Prayers to you and your family.

For over 50 years the Stringfellows were neighbors. I always enjoyed Bill and found him engaging. It seems like yesterday we were playing catch in the back yard.

When Bill pledged Sigma Chi at Tennessee, he was immediately elected as President of his Pledge Class. At that time I was convinced he would be President of our Chapter and a leader in whatever he set his mind to. So sorry to hear of his passing. What a great guy.
