Aaron Houghtaling Obituary
He is survived by his wife, Florence M. Kinney Houghtaling of Virginia Beach, VA; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Houghtaling of Bath; his siblings, Kevin Houghtaling of Elmira, NY and Gary Houghtaling of Virginia Beach, VA, formerly of Rochester, NY; and nephew, Aaron Houghtaling of Avoca, NY.
Aaron served in the US Navy from 1984-2004. He was stationed on the USS Simpson and served in Operation Desert Storm in 1991. He retired from the Navy in May of 2004 as a CS2 Petty Officer 2nd Class. As a child he was in the boy scouts and made Eagle Scout at 15 years of age. He graduated from Strayer University in 2013 with a Bachelor's degree in Business and Administration. He loved animals and was a member of the SPCA. In his spare time he read books, played poker and was known for his practical jokes. He was the life of the party and always made people laugh. Everyone who met him loved him.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, July 23, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Fagan's Funeral Home in Bath. A graveside service, with military honors, will be held on Friday, July 24, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Nondaga Cemetery, Bath, NY.
