BATH, NY., Betty J. Bigelow, 93, passed away on Tuesday August 23, 2016 at the Taylor Health Care Facility. She was born on March 31, 1923 in Belfast, NY the daughter of the late Clarence Campbell and Minota Avery Campbell.

Betty married her husband John C. Bigelow on June 4, 1942 at the Christ Church in Cuba, NY he predeceased her in 2008.

Betty was Secretary for RG&E in Belmont, NY., she ran Dairy Bar & Restaurant in Belmont, NY and she retired from the Bath VA after 24 years.

Betty was a life time member of the Belmont American Legion, a member of the NARFE and the Eastern Star.

Betty enjoyed Camping in the Motor Home, she traveled cross country, and loved spending winters in Florida for the past few years.

Betty was predeceased by parents, husband, brothers, Chester, Floyd (William), Robert, Donald and David Campbell and a sister Jeanette Collins.

Betty is survived by her son Douglas (Martha) Bigelow of Bath, NY., one sister Dorthy Lendel of

Caneadea, NY., and sister-in-law Diane Campbell, and many nieces and nephews and cousins.

Calling hours are being observed on Monday August 29, 2016 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the Bond-Davis Funeral Home of Bath where her Funeral Service will be held at the conclusion of calling at 12:00pm with Reverend Eleanor Collinsworth Officiating.

Memorials maybe made in Betty's memory to the American Kidney Foundation or Organization of one's choice.

The family would like to say Thank You to Diane Phillipson and the staff at Taylor Health Care Facility for there fine care and a special Thank You to Kathy Manning for all of her help.
