Florence Webster Obituary
She was born in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Kossuth Winfield and Florence A. (Hahn) Macorkel.
She married Dewey Frederick Webster on August 12, 1950 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
Winifred graduated from G.A.R. High School in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and then attended Mansfield State Teachers College (now Mansfield University) in Mansfield, Pennsylvania graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Education.
She was a member of North Baptist Church and she taught at Campbell Central School District for 34 years, the first three years teaching third grade and the remainder teaching kindergarten.
She is survived by her husband, Dewey Frederick Webster and a son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Pawinee Webster.
Family and friends are intivited to call at Phillips Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 17 W. Pulteney St., Corning, on Saturday, July 27, 2013 from 9:30 am to 11:30am.
A celebration of Winifred's life will follow calling hours at 12:00 pm at North Baptist Church, 127 Sly Avenue, Corning.
Burial will take place at Chapel Knoll Cemetery. Those wishing may make donations in Winifred's name to North Baptist Church, 127 Sly Avenue, Corning, NY 14830.

So many times we tried to reach you but to no avail. Now you have come home to Corning and we can visit you here. So glad you are with our Savior free from pain and wanting. Love you Corky ,your journey is almost over . Prayers for Dewey and family.

Mrs. Webster left an incredible legacy of kids like me that now have kids and grandkids that we wish had Kindergarten teachers like her.

What a shock I remember her very well she was my Kindergarten teacher. She was a great person she will be missed very much. I have many memories of her and what she has taught me.

I was so surprised when I read this , this morning. I am so glad that we were able to visit them the last 3 years in Florida. We so enjoyed her singing, piano playing, friendship, and times of fellowship with her and Dewey. She and Dewey were in college with George in Mansfield and he was in their wedding and Dewey was in ours. I remember our camping times together also. We will be praying for the family during this time of loss. We will certainly miss ,her. We loved her.
