Robert Brown Obituary
Painted Post - Robert L. "Bob" Brown, age 77, of Painted Post, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family after he fought a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on July 26, 1943 in Mansfield, PA the son of the late Arthur and Alice (Rumsey) Brown. He was also predeceased by his brother, James A. Brown.
Bob is survived by his wife of 49 years, Louise (Hager) Brown, his loving daughter, Roxanne (Greg) Dillon, one granddaughter, Crystal Dillon and her fiancée, Nelson, one grandson, Tyler Dillon and his fiancée, Tanessa, three great grandchildren, Jase, Maurick, and Paisley, sisters, Gloria (Ronald) Stalford and Sylvia Smith, brother, Gary (Sue) Brown, brothers-in-law, Fran (Debbie) Hager and Bill (Wilda) Hager, and several nieces and nephews.
Bob retired from Corning, Inc Erwin Ceramics Plant where he worked as a section supervisor and he was an avid NY Yankees fan. In his early years, he loved playing softball for various teams, he was elected to the Corning Painted Post Hall of Fame on March 19, 1994 for softball and he also enjoyed playing golf at Willow Creek Golf Club.
It was Bob's wish that there be no services. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make donations to the American Cancer Society by going to www.cancer.org

Bob and I grew up together in Beaver Valley back in the 50’s. Bob and his family were very close and good friends. A lot of great memories especially with all us kids having great fun on many evenings. In all kinds of weather. Bob was a great and avid baseball player and a great pitcher. I am sure he will be missed by all of his loved ones. My prayers are with you all. He is now with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
