Josephine Stone Obituary

Josephine Thompson Stone, 95 of Middlesex, went home to be with the Lord on November 4, 2025, at WakeMed Hospital, surrounded by her family.

She was born on August 17, 1930, the daughter of Wade Hubert Thompson and Minnie Pearl Bissette Thompson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John L. Stone and a son, Greg Stone.

A funeral service to celebrate a wonderful life lived will be held at 11:00 am on

Friday, November 7, at MidPoint Church, 5407 NC 231, Middlesex, 27557.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Entombment will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Middlesex.

She is survived by her children, Gary Stone, Gwen Stone and Doug Stone and wife, Sharon, grandchildren, Sydney, Macon and Amber Sone.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
