WILKES-BARRE — Fay Marie Jaffe Berg, of Wilkes-Barre, died at home, Thursday, Sept. 23, 2021.
Born in Wilkes-Barre and grew up in Ashley, she was the daughter of the late Abraham and Anna T. Jaffe and ran the office at her family's business, Mastercraft Telefilms, prior to retirement. She graduated from Ashley High School and attended Wilkes College. Fay was very active in both the Synagogue and Community Life. She was a member of the Jewish Community Center, Congregation Ohav Zedek, its sisterhood and was the recipient of the Woman of Valor Award from the sisterhood.
Fay was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and will be missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin M. Berg.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Wendy Shulman and her husband, Isaac, of Teaneck, N.J.; sons, Allan Berg and his wife, Beth, of Far Rockaway, N.Y.; Steven Berg, of Wilkes-Barre; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was a lover of animals and is survived by her favorite cat, Jack, aka nono.
A graveside funeral service was held on Friday, Sept. 24, 2021, in Holche Yosher Cemetery, S. Main St., Hanover Township, with Rabbi Dovid Kaplan officiating.
Shiva will be observed in New Jersey and New York, and there will be no local shiva.
