Adam Karl King

Lafayette - Memorial Services were held on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Calvary Cemetery for Adam Karl King, age 28, who died on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Lafayette General Medical Center. He died after a long and difficult struggle with addiction.

Adam was a native of Cookeville, Tennessee, born on July 14, 1987. He was a resident of Lafayette, LA for most of his life. He was such a loving, kind, and thoughtful person. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Adam enjoyed the outdoors. He spent time skate¬boarding, hiking, swimming, taking long walks with his mother, and practicing archery. He was also an avid reader, and liked to cook and barbeque. He especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was known by many as being a good listener. Adam attended Louisiana Technical College, majoring in Machine Tool Technology, which he really enjoyed.

Adam was above all, proud to be an organ donor. Though he left us too soon, he will now be able to save other people's lives.

Adam is survived by his loving mother, Irene Estorge King, father Harry King, sister Angela King and her fiancé Carlos Luis Garza of Wichita Falls, TX., brother James LeBlanc of San Francisco, CA, nephew Brian Garza of Wichita Falls, TX., and niece Alisha Garza of Wichita Falls, TX., and also his aunts and their families.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Gerald and Peggy Estorge and James and Eleanor King, as well as his uncles Jerry Estorge and Steven Estorge.
