Daniel Loncaric Obituary

10/9/1956 -7/4/2008

Daniel Robert Loncaric passed away on Friday, July 4, 2008.

Daniel was born on October 9, 1956 in St. Louis, Missouri to Frank Loncaric and Jane Wallace. Dan moved to the Los Angeles area in September 1982. He attended Southwest High School, and graduated from the University of Missouri, St. Louis; passed the CPA exam and worked for a CPA firm and also as a CFO for many years.

Dan fought a courageous battle with cancer. In August 2007 he became a double amputee and still his love of life did not waiver. Dan worked for Education Management Systems since December 2001. He loved sports, ALL sports! For the last six years of his life he played poker almost every day.

Dan is survived by his wife, Pat; his two daughters, Kathleen DiDonna and Kristine; his three grandchildren, Bella and Michelangelo DiDonna and Hailey; his mother, Jane; his sister, Vicki Rivolta; her nephew, Brian Rivolta and his niece, Kristen Rivolta.

Services will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Eternal Valley Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the care of Eternal Valley Memorial Park Mortuary, 23287 N. Sierra Hwy, Newhall, CA.

I am so very sorry for the loss of Dan!! I spoke to him often as I was a back office nurse for one of his dermatologists. He had such a wonderful spirit in light of the problems he was facing!! Always cracking jokes and having an overall positive outlook. He loved his family. And, yes, he loved sports!! What a great man!! God bless his family in this most difficult time. Lori Barnes
