David loved to cook and entertain before he became ill. He was a craftsman at cabinetry for most of his life working in the family cabinet shop. He was also previously employed with Guidry Construction and with the City of Scott as a superintendent for the Waste Treatment Facility. He was a jack of all trades, no job was too hard for him to do. Pop also enjoyed spending time with the joys of his life, his two precious granddaughters, Kenzy and Kylie.
David is survived by his wife and caregiver of many years, Phyllis Roger Landry; his two children, his son, Derek Paul Landry of Baton Rouge and his daughter, Jessica Landry Arabie and her husband Jesse Arabie and their children, Kenzy Claire and Kylie Elise of Judice. He is also survived by his father, Dave Landry and his wife Gerri; his brother, Anthony Landry and his wife, Linda and their children, Ashton and Tyson; his sister Angela and her husband Garret Morvant and their daughter, Chloe and his sister Michele Picard; and two Godchildren, Jayci Abshire and Tyson Landry. He was preceded in death by his mother, Danna Stutes Landry, his maternal grandparents, George and Helena Stutes and his paternal grandparents, Elia Domingue and Leo Landry.
As per David's wishes, he donated his organs and his remains will be cremated.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille's SCOTT location on Monday from 1:00 PM until time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in David's name to his wife, Phyllis.
