Henry Broussard Obituary
LAFAYETTE - A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, July 21, 2014 at 11:00 am at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette for Henry "T-Bruce" Broussard, 86, who passed away Friday, July 18, 2014 at Lady of the Oaks Retirement Manor Nursing Home in Lafayette.
Visitation will be observed on Sunday, July 20, 2014 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm and resumes Monday, July 21, 2014 at 8:30 am until the time of services, at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette.
A rosary will be recited by Joyce Comeaux and Frannie Stokes on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at 6:00 pm in the Fountain Memorial Funeral Home chapel.
Interment will follow in Fountain Memorial Cemetery in Lafayette.
Father Gilbert Dutel, Pastor of St. Edmond Roman Catholic Church in Lafayette will officiate.
Henry was born Tuesday, June 12, 1928 in Lafayette, LA. As a proud veteran, he served in the Army. He worked as a Carpenter for Doug Ashy. Henry was a parishioner of St. Edmond Roman Catholic Church in Lafayette. Most of all, Henry loved spending time with his family and friends.
Henry is survived by his son, Paul Oran Broussard and his wife, Cheryl of Lafayette, LA; daughter, Melanie Carmouche of Scott, LA; three sisters, Helen Hebert of Duson, LA, Thelma Thibodeaux and her husband, Ray of Carencro, LA and Annie Mae Reeves and her husband, Bill of Lottie, LA; five grandchildren, Andrea Mata and her husband, Lance of Friendswood, TX, Chrissy Broussard and her husband, Ryan of Maurice, LA, Shane Broussard and his wife, Traci of Broussard, LA, Hallie and Carlie Carmouche of Scott, LA and four great-grandchildren, Hunter and Bailey Mata, Triston Daigle and Caitlin Broussard.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita "Nell" Comeaux Broussard; his parents, Louis Adam Broussard and Annie Grossie Broussard of Lafayette, LA and his brother-in-law, Russell Hebert.
The family wishes to thank Our Lady of Lourdes, 5th Floor, Hospice of Acadiana and Lady of the Oaks for the compassionate care given to Henry and his family.
