Arnaudville - Funeral services will be held Monday, August 15, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in Melancon Funeral Home in Arnaudville for Mrs. Herman LaGrange, age 74, the former Karen Moeckly, who passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 1:54 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.

Interment will be in St. Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. The Rev. Gary Schexnayder, pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Church in Crowley, will officiate at the services.

Mrs. LaGrange was a native of Britton, South Dakota and a resident of Arnaudville for most of her life. She was a retired occupational/physical therapist, having worked in the surrounding parishes for over twenty-five years. .

Survivors include her husband of forty-six years, Herman LaGrange of Arnaudville; two brothers, Arlo Moeckly of Tucson, AZ and Kent Moeckly of Britton, SD; and one sister, Marlys Moeckly of Tucson, AZ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Merle Moeckly and the former Frances Schanil; and her son, Rene F. LaGrange.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:30 a.m. Monday until service time on Monday.

Pallbearers will be Paul LaPorte, Kent Moeckly, Arlo Moeckly, Troy Devillier, David Durio and Jeff Aycock. Honorary pallbearer will be Justin Frederick.
